Front End Limiter

A front end limiter (FEL) is a device that protects the receiver from a strong signal due to excess RF. It is installed between the antenna and the receiver, if we have a transceiver, in the same radio room.

The receiver must always be protected if we transmit in the same or in other bands, having the receiver turned off does not protect it from RF, to be sure not to damage the receiver, we must disconnect the antennas if we do not have any protection or switch from the equipment or with manual or automatic switches.
